We also spent some time cooking in our kitchen, which was fun. I attempted to perfect the fried egg sandwich. Ryno liked the combination I put together. We toasted potato bread, spread on a creamy swiss cheese, added fresh tomatoes, hot sause and then our fried eggs. It was delicious and seemed summery with the vine ripe tomatoes. I found a great technique guide for the fried egg here. Perhaps the most exciting part was finally using my cast-iron skillet! Until this weekend, I have feared ruining it somehow...I know that sounds ridiculous as it is iron. Nevertheless it sounded like something I am capable of doing by accident.
Since I didn't think to take a photo of our fried egg sandwich here is another one instead.
