March was a rainy month in Austin. All of the rain has helped fill up some of the streams and lakes in Austin. My dad arrived into town on Saturday and we all spent that evening relaxing at the house. Sunday, we drove around to a stream running through a nearby park and out to Lake Travis to see how much the rain had increased the water level. The difference between the lake level in December to now is very noticeable, but it is still 40 feet low. The stream was very full and when we arrived there were a few different families playing in the water. Unfortunately, we didn't have Elton with us or we would have let him swim a bit. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we had a lot of fun exploring the park paths.
ps- I used a river runs through it for the title, because the sunlight reflecting on the stream reminded me of some of the scenes in the movie. Also, below is my favorite quote from the movie/book.
