I had an extra day tacked to the end of our NOLA vacation and while I planned for it to be productive, it didn't work out that way. Instead I decided to comb through the movies and television written by Richard Curtis. Have you ever found a writer you feel a kinship towards based on their body of work? I was thinking about how much I love Curtis' movies such as
Bridget Jone's Diary,
Love Actually,
Notting Hill and
About Time. While searching through his IMDB profile page I noticed he also wrote one of my favorite
Doctor Who episodes "Vincent and the Doctor." I re-watched the episode, and it was as good as I remembered if not better. Plus this time I noticed the heartfelt dialogue that is what I associate with Curtis' work. I particularly am found of his references to love and hope; they are always worked into his pieces in an extremely genuine way.
Richard Curtis with two of my other favorites Domhnall Gleeson and Bill Nighy.
